In the light of its previous experience of strengthening local government institutions and forming people’s alliances named LOAK MORCHA, WAVE undertook the DANIDA funded project titled “Strengthening Local Governance through Participatory and Responsive Public Services”. The aim of the project is to ensure demand driven and responsive delivery of four public services (education, health, agriculture and village court) in 66 Unions under 25 Upazillas of 11 Districts of Bangladesh through mobilizing communities and strengthening standing committees of Union Parishads and Village Courts under the banner of Governance Coalition (A platform of 32 local NGOs).------ supported by HRGG-PSU DANIDA

The project aims to promote free and fair election for all including the minority and vulnerable groups of the selected locations through focused orientation and education initiatives, information disseminations, sensitizing activities and promoting people’s rights and active participation into the election process to strengthen election mechanism and democratic institutions in Bangladesh.----------supported by European Union

The project aims to promote free and fair elections, good governance and the achievement of higher standards of democratic representation and accountability in Bangladesh through domestic election monitoring, voter and civic education initiatives, electoral reform advocacy and facilitation of dialogue and collaborative working relations between the Bangladesh Election Commission, law enforcement agencies, political parties and candidates, the media and civil society.----------supported by The Asia Foundation
